How to Generate and Set Up Your Azure Map Key for Maplytics List Control
Creating an Azure Map Key is crucial for enabling mapping features in your application. If you're using Maplytics, you’ll need this key to ensure that maps function seamlessly. Whether you're new to Azure or just getting started, this guide will walk you through the process of generating and setting up your Azure Map Key step by step.
Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Azure Maps for Maplytics
Step 1: Sign in to the Azure Portal

Step 2: Select ‘Create a Resource’ option

Step 3: Search for "Azure Maps” in the search bar, and click "Create"

If you don’t have an Azure subscription, you will be redirected to the subscription setup screen.
If you already have an active subscription, you can create an Azure Maps resource, and the following page will appear.
Step 4: Select the subscription and resource group. Enter the required details for your new account, and open the "Review + Create" tab. After opening the tab, a page with all the details will appear. Click the "Create" button to create your Azure Maps Resource.

Step 5: You’ll be redirected to a new window showing the resource's deployment status. Once it is deployed, a button labeled "Go to resource" will appear. Click on it to be redirected to the newly created resource.

Step 6: You can also navigate to the Azure Maps resource by following these steps:
Open the home page and go to "All Resources" under the Azure services section.
Search for the Azure Maps resource you created, click on it, and click on "View Authentication" in the overview section (which is open by default).

Step 7: In the authentication window, you will see two sections: Primary Key and Secondary Key. You can use either of these keys. Copy the key based on your preference.

Step 8: Copy the Azure Maps Key and use it when configuring the Maplytics List Control settings in Dynamics 365.
